The SSCF Research Biobank
The SSCF Research Biobank has been set up to enable research and development in a pre-clinical stage of methodologies and technologies for the isolation, characterization and large-scale production of mesenchymal stem / stromal cells from adipose tissue. The biobank collects samples and data and saves them for further use in research projects already determined or yet to be defined .
Samples and data collected can also enable the development of new therapies based on cell in the human mesenchymal stromal cells in a perspective of personalized medicine .
The activities of the biobank are authorized by the Ethics Committee (Canton Ticino; Rif. CE 2961) and are in accordance with the Federal Act of 30 September 2011 on Research involving Human Beings (Human Research Act, HRA), which came into effect on 1 January 2014. SSCF Research Biobank is committed to complying with all laws and ethical principles in force .
